Alternative Investment Opportunity
The Tractor Fuel Fund invests in Tractor Ventures warehouse notes (C notes) that offer a target yield of 11% p.a. paid monthly. The warehouse provides financing to Australian small-medium technology enterprises using a model called 'Revenue Based Financing.' The target repayment date is December 2023, however, the term may extend out 2 years as companies pay down the loans and if Tractor has not refinanced.
Tractor provides financing to revenue-generating Australian companies using a model called ‘Revenue Based Financing’ or RBF. The core difference between RBF and traditional debt is that instead of a fixed repayment every month or quarter, the loan repayment is taken as a minimum percentage of the company's top-line revenue. This provides the flexibility for higher repayments to be supported as well. This flexible financing model is popular in both the US and the UK amongst tech founders and is forecasted to grow at a CAGR of 61.8% from 2020 to 2027.
